Organizing Hacks So Good, I Turned Them Into Cheat Sheets
7/12/20254 min read
You ever stare at a messy room and feel like your brain is just…buffering?
You’re standing there with a mountain of laundry, a junk drawer that squeaks when you look at it, and not one single clue where to begin. Not because you’re lazy. Not because you’re messy. But because your brain is officially clocked out (and honestly, who can blame you).
That’s exactly how I felt when I started making my first cheat sheet. I needed a way to clean, organize, and reset—without needing to think about how to clean, organize, or reset.
I was working and commuting for 10 hours a day, raising kids and pets, and trying not to lose my last emotional marble every time I opened my closet. My brain didn’t want a system. It needed a shortcut.
So I started designing cheat sheets for myself—tiny little reminders, templates, and road maps that told me exactly what to do next…so I could skip the part where I freeze in indecision.
Now, I get to share them. And turns out...I’m not the only one who needed them!
✨ What Even Is a Cheat Sheet?
Think of a home care cheat sheet like a personal assistant who never judges you. It says things like:
“You don’t need to do everything. Just start here.”
It’s not a chore list. It’s not a Pinterest fantasy. It’s a visual prompt for when your brain is too tired, too stressed, or too overwhelmed to figure out how to function in a space that feels like chaos.
These cheat sheets aren’t about doing it right. They’re about doing it period. And gently.
They’re made for the:
burned out mom who hasn’t sat down in three days,
perfectionist who keeps waiting for the “right mood” to clean,
newly diagnosed ADHD adult who’s learning to give themselves grace,
busy professional who wants their space to match the calm they’re craving.
They’re designed for you. Not your best day self. Your everyday self. The real one.

💛 Why This Stuff Matters
These might look like silly PDFs or Instagram posts. But here’s the truth:
They’re tools of nervous system support.
A cheat sheet might buy you 10 minutes of peace. It might help you start something you’ve been putting off for weeks. It might mean the difference between meltdown and momentum.
And when you’ve lived most of your life feeling like your home is against you—not for you—that 10 minutes can be everything.
You deserve to feel at home in your home.
Not because you followed every step perfectly. But because you stopped expecting yourself to do it all alone, and by someone else's rule book.
🧭 Final Thought: You’re Not "Cheating"—You’re Supporting Yourself
If your brain needs reminders, use them. If your body needs shortcuts, take them.
None of this makes you lazy, bad, or incapable. It makes you human.
These cheat sheets were made for the you that forgets what to do when life gets loud.
They’re here when you’re overwhelmed. When you’re burnt out. When you just want something to feel simple again.
And if all they do is help you start… that’s already enough.
